(c)hobartdaily.com - A model of a design for a Car designed by Leonardo Da Vinci

Last week The Da Vinci Machines Exhibition opened in Hobart and has over 60 machines that have been built based on the designs of Leonardo da Vinci.

The picture shown is of a self moving car propelled by a mechanism and leaf springs. The operator would have to hand load the leaf springs and the stored energy would in turn power the car. There is also steering via the use of a rudder like lever to small wheels at the front.
