It is amazing what happens when you feel like a drive, you can go in any direction and if you go far enough you might even end up snapping a photo that belongs in a different daily city photoblog, in this case i ended up in Launceston which of course belongs in Launceston Daily Photo.

What you see in the photo is the basin in the Cataract Gorge, a wonderful river Gorge literally on Launceston’s doorstep. It features parkland, bushwalking, swimming in the summer months and white water rafting and kayaking when the water is running higher than today. Oh and of course photography!
